Try it with a sample runner
Alex Martin is a sample runner, seven weeks from a race. Open the app on any of these screens and look around: the plan, the calendar, every session, the coach's answers.
A plan that gets you to your goal
Your first 10 km, a faster half-marathon, a marathon or a trail race: set your goal and MyTrainingDesk lays out the weeks to get there, with how much to run and how much of it easy or hard. Ask the coach to plan your week and it fits the sessions to your recovery, and tells you when it eased off and why.
Your runs fill in as your watch syncs, so you always see how the week is going.

A coach that has read every session
Ask why a run felt hard, whether you're getting faster, or what to change next week. The coach answers from your own sessions, laps, zones, heart-rate variability and plan, and can draw the chart that shows it.
Each week it writes a review of the week. Choose how it talks to you: army, scientific, balanced or soft.
Why did Sunday's long run feel so hard?
Your heart rate drifted 9 % from the first hour to the second at the same pace, against 3 % on your last two long runs. You slept 5 h 50 the night before and your HRV was under its usual range for the third morning.
It was fatigue, not fitness. Keep Tuesday easy and we'll look at Thursday's intervals again that morning.
Recovery is part of the plan
Heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep come in from your watch each morning and sit beside the day's sessions in the calendar. When a morning reads well under your normal, you see it before you train, and the coach takes it into account when it plans.
Sessions built to your zones, on your watch
Build a session step by step against your own heart-rate, power or pace zones and watch its shape take form, or let the coach write it. Planned sessions reach Garmin and other watches through your TrainingPeaks account, and what you do comes back the same way, with its load, intensity and laps worked out.
Questions
- Who is it for?
- Runners of every level who train with a watch: to run a first 10 km, get faster, prepare a marathon or a trail race, or simply understand their running data. Cyclists and triathletes too. It started as one runner's own training desk.
- Do I need TrainingPeaks?
- Yes, for now: MyTrainingDesk reads your sessions and sends planned ones to your watch through your own TrainingPeaks account. Your plan, your calendar and the coach live in MyTrainingDesk.
- Who sees my training?
- Only you. Each account has its own space. Read the privacy page for what is kept and where.
- Can I see it before asking?
- Yes: try the demo. It opens the app on a made-up athlete, Alex Martin, in the middle of a season. Everyone shares it and it's read only, so nothing you click changes anything.
- Can I start right away?
- Yes: create your account and it opens at once. The app is free during early access.
