MyTrainingDesk

A coach that has read every session

Ask anything about your training. MyTrainingDesk's coach answers from your own sessions, laps, zones, heart-rate variability and annual plan, draws the chart that shows it, and changes your plan when you ask it to.

Questions about your training, answered from your data

Why did Sunday's long run feel so hard? Am I on track for my next race? How is my recovery trending? Compare my running this month with last month. The coach looks up what it needs, from a single lap to months of load, and answers with numbers you can check.

When a chart says it better, the answer includes one: lines, bars, stacked bars or a scatter, with reference lines where they help.

Am I on track for my race in April?

Mostly. Your fitness is up from 41 to 52 since July and your long runs reached 4 h 10 with 1,900 m of climbing. What's behind is descending: you've done 22 % less than planned in this block.

Next block, I'd keep the hours and add a downhill session each week.

An example answer, in the balanced style.

It plans your week to your season

Ask it to plan next week and it reads that week's targets from your annual plan: the hours, the phase, the mix of easy and hard, the strength phase. Then it writes the sessions into your calendar. When your recovery says to hold back, it tells you which target it lowered, by how much and why.

It can also move, copy or rewrite sessions, write a strength session, add a race or rework a block. Each change is listed as it happens, so you see exactly what it did.

Plan next week around my annual plan

  • Tue: Run 50 min easy, heart-rate zone 2
  • Wed: Strength 35 min, maximum strength
  • Thu: Hill repeats 6 × 4 min at threshold
  • Sat: Long run 3 h 30, 1,400 m climb
  • Sun: Run 1 h 45 easy, tired legs

8 h 40 of the 9 h target. Thursday's hills are 6 repeats, not 8: your HRV has been under your usual for three mornings.

A review of every week

Each Monday the coach writes a review of the week that ended: a verdict, what went well and what didn't, in four parts (volume and load; intensity; fitness, fatigue and form; recovery), a note on every session and one thing to take into the next week.

It reads like a coach talking to you, not a scorecard.

Good week

The hours landed and the long run held together. Recovery is the thing to watch.

Volume & load
8 h 50 of 9 h, the biggest week of the block, built without a spike.
Intensity
78 % easy, in the target band. Thursday's threshold climbs were right on effort.
Fitness, fatigue & form
Fitness 54, up 3. Form −18: tired, as planned for week 3 of 4.
Recovery
HRV under your usual on Friday and Saturday; sleep 6 h 40 on average.

The coach also keeps notes you can read and edit: your health history, your availability, your preferences, goals and equipment. You tell it once.
